About me

“I believe you can be many things in one lifetime. I write fiction for women who have tried, failed, reinvented themselves, and tried again.”

I create fictional drama so I don’t start real-life chaos. It’s a public service, really.

The story of

Amy Wheeler

Amy Lee Wheeler is a writer, artist, and Emmy-nominated production designer whose work explores ambition, inheritance, and the private costs of being a woman who wants more. She has been writing fiction for over a decade, beginning in 2013, and has self-published five novels across women’s fiction, romantic suspense, and contemporary romance. She is now focused on the traditional publishing market, developing upmarket and historical fiction centered on women who trailblazed professions, defied social boundaries, and reshaped the worlds they moved through.

Late-in-life diagnosed with ADHD, Amy brings a nonlinear, visually driven approach to storytelling shaped by her parallel career in film and television. She has studied craft through workshops and mentorships with writers including Meg Wolitzer, Paula McLain, Tom Perrotta, and Christina Baker Kline. She believes life is too short to do only one thing well—and that the best stories live at the intersection of art, history, and emotional truth.

She divides her time between writing, design, and chasing the next compelling narrative.
